My name is David Schuhart. I have spent the better part of my life hiking, with a camera, looking for the perfect photograph. In 1987, for High School Graduation (from Oshkosh West High School), I was given my first good camera. From that day on, I was hooked! I spent 5 years in the US Army (20th Engineer Btln. out of Fort Campbell, KY) taking photos every step of the way. After the Army, hiking trips were what took up most of my free time with a camera in tow. After years of this & 100's of rolls of film, I found that I had a lot of photos. Friends, that liked my work, asked why I hadn't tried to sell any? So...in 2002, I started going to local art shows all over the State of Wisconsin showing off my work.
Today, I Live in Florida and am the lead photographer at Lifetouch National School Studios as well as a member of the Artists Guild - Gadsden Art Center.
In my photographs, I have attempted to capture the feel of the moment it was taken. I hope you enjoy.
I hope you find something in them that speaks to you!
Thanks again for your interest!
